| HISTORY I was born in a small village called Les Escoumins on the North Shore of the St. Lawrence River in Québec, Canada. I was only 10 years old when I was initiated to wood carving. But life took me in a different direction. Listening to my parents' advice, I joined the Canadian Army where I undertook the study of languages, then mechanical and electrical engineering. After a couple of years as an English teacher in my village, I reassessed my life and directed my professional career toward electrical energy transport. This decision took me on a 20-year journey across both Americas, Asia, the Middle-East and Africa, where I supervised the construction and rehabilitation of electrical energy transport and distribution networks. During my travels, I regularly practiced wood sculpture as a hobby and took advantage of my vacations to meet with local sculptors and study their techniques. |

| Upon my return to Canada where I
now live in Sherrington, half-way between Montreal and the New York border, I decided to
face a new challenge and started sculpting on a full-time basis. My work mirrors my
travels and my philosophy of life.
An adept of meditation for over 40 years, the theme of my work reflects life and our state of mind as well as the inner peace that can be gained through the practice of the art of meditation. My sculptures often take the shape of exotic heads, birds in flight or slender Venus bodies.
